• Hi Bob, The router itself for internet access will be connected by Ethernet to a cable modem or equivalent to connect to the internet. The AT&T Velocity is in itself a router, it supplies Wi-Fi for your devices, so this would not be a normal setup to use this router with. I hope that this helps you. Stephen
