• Hello, Angie. Our Range Extenders are dependent from the internet it is getting from the router. Make sure that it has a good signal through the Spot Finder feature.

• No I do not believe it would. We moved our WiFi Router to the basement so my kids could stream better, I purchased this to help extend to the rest of the House and some of the back yard. Even though I had the device as close to the router as possible it still never worked when we connected devices to it. Has better signal with WiFi Router by itself.
