• As long as the Gateway modem is also a Wi-Fi Router, it should work. I have tried it with 3 different Wi-Fi Routers and it worked each time.

• Hi. Yes it does. But you need to make that the WDS (wireless distribution system) is pre-enabled in your modem gateway. You may need to contact your ISP about this.
