Hi. The Linksys RE6300 Range Extender works with any wireless router or gateway (modem/router).

I have Ritter cable and it works on their unit.

Yes, extenders only take the current wifi and route them on to a different channel allowing that range to be extended. This one includes an Ethernet port you can use to plug directly into whatever you need for less inference and for a more stable connection.
