“I live in an apartment with public WiFi- seems to work ok but I stay away from sites requiring passwords, banking, credit cards etc. Can the extender provide a secure private network while I am using the public apartment WiFi access?”

• Hi. No, the range extender is just a wireless repeater. It doesn't have a NAT firewall like a router.

• You would have to sync it with the WiFi so you would need admin permission.
