• Actually, it is a very bad quality wifi booster! I tried it and had to return it. Don't bother buying this one. Try another brand/model.

• Hi, FranFC. The Linksys RE6300 range extender is designed to repeat and extend the wireless signal of a wireless router. It will not work if you only have a modem.
