“I have never used a ethernet cable for my pc or console before, but if I plugged one into the extender and into my pc/console I'm assuming it would work just as if I ran one from my actual router?”

Hi, Carter. You can connect wired devices to the extender's Ethernet port, or you can use it to connect the extender to the router/gateway and configure it as an access point.
