• It worked well upstairs and about 30 feet away. I can’t give an honest answer about 50 feet away since I have nothing that far.

• Hi, frepyou616. By design, the Re6300 extender is designed to cover up to 6500 sq. ft. area, however, walls and physical obstructions will greatly affect its coverage. Actual range will vary depending on the network environment.
