• I had some older Nodes that I was able to connect to my new system …. So yes they are backward compatible

• Yes. The recommended setup is to have the Linksys Atlas Pro AX5300 Wifi 6 System as the parent node then the Velop AC1300 as child nodes to maximize its features.
