It will not increase your download speeds as that is regulated by CL based on the plan your purchased. It does have a setting for gaming that will prioritize bandwidth when you are playing games. You can download the manual from Linksys and get more info before purchasing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This will not increase your bandwidth unless your current router is much slower, this will primarily increase your bandwidth for LOCAL network traffic. You will still be throttled by your provider.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This has nothing to do with the speed of your internet connect. This is a device to route the signal to other devises within your network. Century Link paired with your modem controls how fast your speed is. Example would be if you are getting 100Mbps from your modem then you will get 100Mbps from you router and that's what you'll get at your console (if it can except that. If your Modem is only letting you receive 10Mbps then that's what you'll get on the rest of your network. There are a couple of other variables but that is the quick answer. There are many other things that effect your speed at the console. Hope this help a little.
