“Do you have to name this router different from your existing router? When I connect to it will there be multiple Wifi names displayed? or just one for the whole system per band 2.4/5ghz.”

No it automatically adds ext to both channels. There will be 4 channels to choose from. Your 2 original router and the 2 extender.
