“Can I use this as and an extension of ports to my HTC router?”

• Not exactly sure what you are asking. The Linksys has four output ports, but it is not typically used to extend other routers. Usually, when you need more ports you would buy an ethernet switch and plug one of your HTC router's output ports into the uplink port of the ethernet switch.
