“I have very limited space and need to get a tiny firewall. I see this has a lot of holes. Can wires hooked into those holes and joined together to make the connections faster? I have horrible verizon dsl and need to try to make it faster”

Roberta, I sympathize with your frustration with slow internet. Unfortunately, your options are limited. If you only have access to DSL, your best bet is to get TWO DSL lines, and then to buy a Dual-WAN router to combine these two DSL lines into a bigger internet pipe. However, the LinkSys LRT214 is a single-WAN router, so you need his big brother, the LRT224.

Also, the connection from the router will depend on its main source which is the modem. If the connection from the modem is bad, you may need to seek help from your ISP as it’ll greatly affect your network, regardless of the router you will use.
