You could use it to replace your router, but not the modem. This is a supplement to your router, if you have an all in one router/modem. You can still connect to the old router while connecting to this system if you still have it connected or are using an all in one unit. This will not give better speeds or bandwidth, but better, stronger connectivity.

You have a few options... 1. Return your AC3200 since you are within your 14 day window with Best Buy and get this system 2. Keep you AC3200 and set up the nodes as a separate network 3. Keep you AC3200 and set up the nodes as a bridge setting to expand your coverage range
