“Once you have set the nodes up using the wifi connection can the nodes then be installed with hardwire connection. The nodes need to bridge an 80 foot space between two buildings so I cannot put a node in the middle however I can connect them via a Cat 5”

• Yes, you can hardwire it. I am not sure if you will lose speed for having s cable that long
