As long as the node is able to connect to another node with a strong enough connection, then yes, adding a node in the out building will basically add a wifi hotspot in that building. If the wifi range is too far, you can also use a Cat 5e ethernet cable off of the main unit (the one connected to your modem) and that will allow you to have a much better connection. It would basically be like extending your modem to that building. You don't have to reboot the system after adding a node. It will automatically adjust once you add the node through the app. The only thing you have to reset for are updates. Hope that helps.

If it is too far or there is too much signal interference, it may not be able to connect. As for your second question, you do not need to do anything to your devices if you add a Velop node to your existing system.
