Most devices such as your smart phone or laptop will connect to the optimal node given that there is solely one wireless point available when searching wifi networks. Although, I have found that my Amazon Echo can pick up the distinct channels of the nodes and will connect to one specific node, which is strange.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I"m not sure but once you're connected to the network you're not node specific connected. I imagine the software handles which note to connect base on range. But that said I believe it just works as one big network.
