• Yes, it can work even without being connected to a phone. But the phone app is useful for making adjustments.

• Yes you can use the hearing enhancement independent from the phone and bluetooth features. You would be able to control the volume directly on the earbuds but please note you would not be able to change the sound modes.

• I believe so. However, you will probably want to do the initial app-item setup so it can run a hearing test to make proper adjustments. After that you don't have to use it like a traditional Bluetooth headset.
