Can I use this without an extra protection case null

Yes and no... This product is designed to completely cover the surface of your smartwatches glass screen, strengthening it up to 20x that of an unprotected screen. With this being said since it is designed to only cover the screen, the edges of your device, which are usually the most vulnerable from a drop, are still left unprotected.
