Can the protector be removed if desired? null

Yes, you would have to buff it out. However, even when it's on, you cant tell unless you bump it hard. When that happens all you do is take a cloth, wipe with some pressure, and it's back to perfect again.

Doubt it, unless you use a solvent of some kind.
