• It is the heavy duty plastic so can definitely be used outdoors, but unless your children are very tiny, the swing won't work. My grandson is 30 inches tall and was too tall for the swing to work. His feet would hit the ground which scared him. The swing does not adjust. You are better off getting just the climber without the swing attachment.

• Our grandkids are 4 and 1. The 1-year-old can swing in the swing (with supervision, of course), and the 4-year-old can climb the ladder and slide down the slide. He can also push his little sister in the swing (again, with supervision). It is definitely an outdoor toy, although I suppose if you had room you could put it inside. Our daughter and son-in-law seem very happy with it.
