Usually I shut off the power when I put the phone away. It takes a little time to get the the phone going when it is turned on again. I am not sure that people with dementia have the patience to wait until the phone is operational. That may depend on the individual. I would suggest to check out the level of their patience as they wait for other things, for they probably will respond the same way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is very easy to use. If your parent is able to use the phone by it's self, they will have no problem using this case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is very easy to pick up and use. I am 85 and have fingers that are numb, but the phone is very easy to pick up and use. I like the pink color because it is easy to see.

THE JITTERBUG PHONES ARE A JOKE AND THEY TELL YOU THE SERVICE IS CHEAP, NOPE. WITHIN A WEEK I WAS CHARGED ABOUT 40$ TO ACTIVATE AND THEN ABOUT A WEEK LATER WAS CHARGED ANOTHER 59$ FOR SERVICES AND MY MOM HATES IT.

My Mom had dementia for a few years before it became clearly obvious. She had a cell phone before this, but it became too difficult for her. We went through many phones and much expense before we realized that she simply couldn’t learn anything new, no matter how simple. She only could answer the corded house phone, as this was the only one that connected when you pick up, as opposed to the cordless house phone, which you have to pick up and use a button to turn on, similar to a cell phone. She was not able to make a call on any phone. It’s heartbreaking, and I wish you the best of luck.
