Does the Lively Flip have a better speakerphone than the Jitterbug flip? What about the sound quality? I bought my Mom the Jitterbug flip but the sound quality was so poor she couldn't use it - wondering if the new Lively Flip is any better? null

I have it on the maximum volume and the sound quality is still very weak - I have good hearing and compared to my iphone, the sound quality is just horrible - considering that this phone is designed for seniors who generally have hearing difficulties, one would think more effort would have gone into the design of the phone to ensure superior sound quality.

Buy her the new version which is the Lively. The sound comes out on the front instead of the back. I was having trouble when I would sit on the couch with the phone. Could not hear it ring. Also, the Lively shows the battery and time when phone is open.

Essentially you should shop for a unlocked phone that offers good volume. Then contact TING for their SIM card, monthly cost for unlimited talk and text is about $15 which includes all charges.
I found Jitterbug phones to be less than desirable.
