• Yes. You can text with several modes. The default is abc (where you have to hit the 5 three times to get an L). You can change the mode to quick text and you can spell words with one click per letter (thanks would be 842657), with anticipated words displaying and you can select with the directional keys. I haven't found how to make this mode default but at least it's an option.
