• Great question! Lively allows you the option to transfer your cell or home phone number, as long as your number is still available. There are instructions on how to do so included with the box -- just make sure you do not cancel your previous service until the transfer is complete. • You can keep your same number but get your order started with lively before closing your Verizon account. I found Lively to be a hassle when I tried to start the account so I stayed with Verizon. I am still using the lively phone with Verizons SIM card. For some reason I can't receive texts but can still text out, other wise the phone works fine. I like it better than my other flip phone that I got from Verizon. I don't text anyway. Also Verizon is only a few more dollars a month above Lively's cheapest rate and they are very helpful if I have a problem.
