Can I keep my old number if I switch from Verizon to jitterbug?

Port-in requests may occur immediately or may take 1 to 3 business days (5 to 7 business days if porting a landline). Once the phone is activated please call Customer Service to transfer the number. They'll ask for the temp number and they'll give you an ID number or a transmission number (forgot what Verizon called it). This ID number can be used w Jitterbug to ID the interaction. When you call the old number on Jitterbug from another phone to see if change went thru, try a few times; does not always work the first time.
