I'm not sure this would be the best choice for someone like the person you described. My husband is not a techy person at all. He doesn't even have a cell phone. Anyway, whenever he uses mine, I have to walk him through each step. I think it is pretty straight forward and love the phone, but he doesn't think it is so easy. It doesn't have a 911 button. Hope this helps.

The print is easy to read. If she does not want to text, she might be happy with their flip phone. On the Jitterbug Smart2 phone, she would need to be able to see where the little red 5 star button is - and then all she would have to do is press her finger on it for a second. When you first set the phone up for her, that button can be used to get help from Great Call - if you decide not to use their program, then that button is used for 911. I am not sure how their flip phone works.
