A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our Jitterbug Smart 2 phone. The Jitterbug Smart 2 does not support the hotspot capability. To view more details about the Jitterbug Smart 2 please go to the Product Support page of our website.
A:AnswerYou have to take the plan through Great Call. We did a lot of research before we bought this phone and all the tech writers made that very clear
A:AnswerHello Dr. Bob, thank you for your interest in our Jitterbug Smart 2. The Jitterbug Smart 2 does not include a lanyard. You can view details about the Smart 2 on our Product Support page on our website, https://www.greatcall.com/support.
A:AnswerWhy don't you call Great Call and get the answer directly from them? 1-800-733-6632. I have a Smart 2 -- it does have WiFi and it does know a person's location in case they fall down or get lost or something bad happens.
A:AnswerHi Ruth. Suggest calling the Jitterbug people directly. Their customer service was knowledgeable and very helpful asking my initial questions (Jitterbug 2 does not work with Mobile Spectrum). Regardless of this fact, I chose to purchase the Jitterbug 2 for my 86 year old mother and had her number transferred to Great Call which only took minutes. Great Call was not only cheaper than Mobile Spectrum but provides the ideal services for our family who is trying “to keep tabs” on a physically active 86 year old who isn’t the best communicator, not tech savvy, and is forgetful.
The phone is ideal in its simplicity and features e.g. notifications when “she’s on the move”; her location, phone battery at critically low level, etc. Also and perhaps most importantly is the 5 Star feature. I added her doctor and emergency contacts so that in the event my mother has any issues, she can call 5 Star and get the assistance she needs.
A:Answer$59.99 per mo without their health and safety plan. with Plan $40 per month Plus $34.99 for ultimate health and safety plan. See greatcall.com for details.
A:AnswerYes, and no. It took us two weeks of hassle with our former carrier, but we were successful in transferring my mother's phone number. Also, Great Call works as its own carrier. No chance of changing to another wireless carrier. I hope this helps! She loves her new phone!
A:AnswerAll Jitterbug cell phones and smartphones are unlocked per nationwide standards, but we cannot control which carriers choose to accept or activate our phones. Jitterbug phones were specifically designed to work on the GreatCall network which is powered by the nation’s largest and most dependable wireless network. GreatCall’s award winning U.S. based support and 5Star emergency response service is only available on the GreatCall network. GreatCall offers a variety of affordable plans which can be viewed at our webpage.
A:AnswerHi Russ, all Jitterbug cell phones and smartphones are unlocked per nationwide standards, but we cannot control which carriers choose to accept or activate our phones, nor do we guarantee our phones are compatible with other networks.
A:AnswerNot sure. We are using the network affiliated with Jitterbug for service and the emergency calling feature for my mother-in-law. I think you would have to call AT&T to determine if this phone could be used on their system and what features they support - also at what cost.
A:AnswerHi Lucy, all Jitterbug cell phones and smartphones are unlocked per nationwide standards, but we cannot control which carriers choose to accept or activate our phones, nor do we guarantee our phones are compatible with other networks.

A:AnswerI believe this phone is not compatible with other phone providers. I've seen this question before & the answer was you had to use Great Call as your provider. I love the phone and have not had any issues/problems with Great Call.
