“Is this phone ready for 5G since 3G is being discontinued for cell phones early in January, 2022????”

• Great question! We understand that 3G is being discontinued, but we are happy to inform you that the Jitterbug Smart3 is under the 4G LTE network therefor this will have no effect on this phone.

• My Jitterbug Smart3 got 3 updates from H2o on the GSM network which uses AT&T towers. It is now VoLTE 4G. This is a great phone if starts life unlocked. It will handle both GSM and CDMA networks. Lively/Verizon are CDMA. H2o/AT&T/TMobile/Cricket are GSM. If you don't want big buttons just factory reset in Advanced mode. Mine looks like my old Samsung S8+ that died and the Lively phone specs are far superior. Better battery, memory, mic, speakers, camera. I Like this phone. Bye Bye Samsungs.
