Hello, yes of course you can disable the microphone and just use the camera for imagery. You can go to your "system preferences" on your computer, and choose which input and output you want for sound. For example, if I am using the C615 as my camera, and Yeti as my microphone, I will choose Yeti as my input for sound vs. C615.
