• Yes the mic picks up very good. I've got it in a room that measures 13x15 , and it picks up very good. I walk across the room and it picks up wherever I walk.. I bought three, and very happy with my cameras!! Great product!!

• This would not work well in a conf room, but for the price you could give it a go. Works well for indivdual use where the speaker sits directly in front of the builtin mic.
