Works Good With My Apple Mac Computer

This camera is not technically intended for use with an Apple Mac computer. It does not come with any Logitech software that works on a Mac. However, the camera is recognized by the Mac Yosemite operating system and works great with both Skype and FaceTime on my 2009 Mac Mini computer. Using the Apple Photo Booth software, you can take a good selfie picture. Using the Apple QuickTime player software allows you to make a basic movie. Using the Logitech Camera Settings app (available for free from the Apple App Store) you can make basic adjustments, such as color changes and turning manual focus on and off. This app also includes basic pan and zoom controls. I usually just leave everything at the default settings. Again, this software does not come with the camera and I could not find it on Logitech's website. I had to download it through the Apple App store. I recently used the camera to talk to a colleague in the Netherlands using Skype and couldn't have been happier. The video and audio quality is quite good and way better than that of my old webcam. The colors look very natural. The only problem that I experienced was a complaint of echoing. I solved this problem by turning down the camera microphone input volume (in the Apple System Preferences > Sound menu). After I did this, my friends said that I sounded fine. The echo was gone and they had no trouble hearing me. I could have spent more money but there was really no reason to do so for my needs. You may have a little bit more control if you purchase one of the Logitech models which is technically Mac compatible. But for me, having a camera with above average audio and video at an affordable price was more important. Again, the built-in Mac system software recognizes the camera and turns it on when you are in the applications that I've described. It is necessary to tell certain applications to connect to the camera (via built in menus) the first time the camera is used. But once that is done, you need not do it again. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a great little webcam for webcam use and more. If all you need is a great webcam for a decent price this will do the job. The microphone does not work for me as I am using it for live streaming vs webcam. I am using a Blue Snowball USB microphone and leaving the C920 webcam microphone off. I do need to upgrade to the Blue Yeti at some point. As far as the C920 goes 1080p @ 30fps for streaming and decent microphone for webcam use. This camera works on USB 2.0 so for older computers it will be a better choice than the Brio 4K which should be used only on USB 3.0 to take advantage of the 4K. The C920 will not require near the bandwidth / internet speed. Where as the Brio 4K should have about 4-6 and stable just for itself as a minimum. I would not look at the lower end models. C625, C525 and the like, as many built in webcams will be about the same. The C920 (if I am remembering correctly) offers better auto focus and auto light balance and with 1080p and a better builtin microphone I think for the small amount more is just a much better choice. I returned my first C920 for the Brio 4K then misread the C922 specifications 1080p @ 30 (I thought it was 60 the 60 was for 720p) So I returned it and purchased two C920s. I have two viewing angles for the C920s and the 4K is for top down view for extreme detail shots.

Right away I noticed that the C920 was a superior product - as it should be, considering it is Logitech's flagship webcam at the moment. But my initial impression was that the extra features might not be worth the size and setup tradeoff. There are three things that the C920 does not have: 1) While all three models attach to your computer monitor in about the same way and all three can tilt up and down, only the C525 and C615 can turn side to side. In fact, they can turn around 360 degrees and more. The C920, however, has a threaded tripod mount, as does the C615. 2) The C920 lacks the excellent "fold-and-go" design of the other two models, which makes packing and travelling easy, while protecting the lenses. In contrast, the C920 is much larger and stationary. 3) The C615 comes with a shorter USB cable AND an extension for more versatility. The C920 - like the C525 - comes with only a full length cable (~6'). My wish for all three models is that they come with a detachable USB cable, which would make them all much more portable and easy to carry around, especially in this age when most people travel with at least one or two USB cables. But when I actually sat down to do some serious comparisons, I realized just how much more advanced the C920 is, most notably in its use of H.264 compression and its autofocus feature. H.264 is a standard being utilized more and more for video of all sorts, and it makes a huge difference here

This camera offers up 1080p video streaming for the first time over Skype thanks to the built in hardware compression which takes the burden off of your CPU during streaming. This means that you can stream at HD resolutions on older, slower computers that others could not. The video quality is crisp and clear thanks to the Carl Zeiss lens and the full 1080p HD resolution. Sound is clear and in stereo due to 2 separate microphones. The unit tilts up and down but unfortunately does not swivel left to right, however the face tracking on the device takes care of slight left to right adjustments on its own. The build feels rugged and should last most individuals a long time with no problems. The mount holds the camera solid to most surfaces and also feels solid with no worries of falling off. Also works with Logitech Vid HD software, yahoo messenger, live messenger, Facebook and more.

Pretty high resolution for such a small device and a reasonable price. I purchased 2 of them to conduct a video conference remotely with a group of about 15 people in a room. The presenter was 300 miles away using the same C920 model webcam on their computer as the one we had placed on the laptop here at the conference meeting. The setup was easy and quick. Setup on both MAC and PC. The presenter was amazed that they could see and hear everyone in the room so clearly. Just make sure u have ample lighting in the rooms where the webcams are used or you may notice a lag. If u have ample lighting you are good to go. Doesn't need to be flood lights or anything serious like that. Even the audio was pretty clear. For the conference room, we did use a good set of speakers to hear the presenter since the space was larger. The presenter only needed to talk through their webcam and didnt require a separate microphone. When people in the conference room spoke, we did use a mike so the presenter could hear questions clearly since we had multiple people in the room. Very pleased over all. We used Google video chat since it was free with our Gmail addresses.

I purchased this webcam when it was on sale for around $60 from the original price of $99. I was looking at this webcam for quite sometime and finally decided to buy it. After checking it out I can say that the video as well as the picture quality are very good as long as your lighting is good in the room. If it's not the video can look a bit weird because of it but overall this webcam is very nice. Now for the software... For it being a nicer webcam and more on the pricey side Logitech sure didn't make the software to go with that. The software CANNOT go full screen, it doesn't have many features and is just a big disappointment. For such a nice webcam they don't give you software capable of seeing it bigger and better. Windows 10 has a camera app in the store that works with this webcam but it down't allow you to use the features that the webcam software has but you can go fullscreen. I would have given this 5 stars if the software was better but the webcam itself is very good.

Let me get this out of the way: This is BY FAR the best dedicated web-cam I have ever used. This is the second of these Logitech web cams that I've purchased, and the price just dropped so it's an even better value than before! If you're looking to shoot 1080p HD video from your computer for game streaming, YouTube, or whatever, you could do a lot worse than this camera. Bear in mind that this isn't a $500+ DSLR and as such doesn't quite have the picture quality; but the only real downside I have experienced with these cameras is that the footage looks a little washed out in good lighting, and it takes a little bit of tweaking (both with the capture software and your editing software) to get it looking just right. Still, even in low light it will give you a working image at a passable framerate, and even has a decent built-in stereo microphone if you need it (though the capture software included also lets you use other microphones connected to your computer).

First off to give you an idea how I use this product. I broadcast over Twitch and YouTube five days of the week and some weeks seven days. I use this product from 2 to 12 hours each time. It works perfectly! It is easy to use with my broadcasting software and I use 3 different programs. The duel mics are great, but they will never beat a stand alone mic for quality. With that said if you don't have the 200+ to buy one. Then your in great hands with the mics that come with this webcam. The auto focus and follow face features are so freakin sweet. You would have to try it out to understand. I thought the price was a bit high, until I talked with another YouTuber who uses it. She was 100% right. Take that extra step on the price, because others have a good camera or have a mic. But they won't have a great camera and two great dual mics. I did check out some of the less expense webcam. I didn't get them because I looked grainy or sounds like I was underwater. Very bad when you are streaming live video.
