this is very possible, the only issue is if the TV can detect the webcam and actually use it out of the box or if it needs drivers to be installed (and if those drivers are supported on your TV) i would recommend looking into your manufacturer a little bit, and in the end you can buy one from bestbuy try it out see if it works, and if it does not return within the next week or two for your money back!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Used it last night for the first time to Skype over a 60 inch Vizio TV. The camera plugs into my laptop and the laptop connects via HDMI to the TV. Camera mounted on top of the TV with no problems at all. Works great for me.
