Shouldn't need batteries. It just plugs in via a USB cable. The USB port needs to be powered. Perhaps the power is off to the port you attached it to.

No battery is needed. It is powered through the same USB cable that connects it to the computer.

it's doesn't need batteries, is an USB CAMERA the power comes from the usb port of your laptop.

There are no batteries with this webcam - - power comes from your computer via the USB cable.
