Yes the camera has to be removed to get the battery off. Life if 3 days to 3 weeks for me depending on location
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely does not need to be removed. As long as you have an outlet nearby your fine. My battery has lasted about 3 weeks straight, no recharging
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine lasted 3 weeks and still had about 25% left when I recharged. Had about 1.5 visitors per day.

We recommend charging the battery overnight detached from the camera before your first use after than you can leave the camera attached and chargeas needed. The length of how long the charge lasts depends on use . Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns, We are always happy to help! Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Complete answer: First, make sure the battery is completely charged - I may not have had a fully-charge battery on my first camera. It ran out in about a month. I got a spare battery, which was a good thing. It is easily replaced and you do have to remove it from the mounting, but that's just a slip-in peg. I had it up and running within a couple of minutes when I put the newly-recharged battery in. One cautionary note: make sure you have a wifi connection that works for ALL cameras! You can't put them on different wireless networks, apparently. Once I discovered that, I actually had to buy a range extender to make things work, but now they do, very well!
