“Is this compatible with the PS4 (I've read the answers, but still confused). I need to hear and for the mic to work. Does it work by plugging it into the controller (if so which part?) Or will I have to plug the USB into the console itself? Please help!”

Yes, it works with PS4 by using the USB connection. Both the mic and headphones work using this method. You plug it into the front of the console not the controller. It has a long cable so plugging into the console isn't a problem if you want to sit farther back.
