• Having just purchased this mouse pad I can say confidently that it is NOT cloth. The bottom has rubber grip material and the top is a hard textured plastic like surface.

• Just bought today. Very disappointed that it is NOT cloth. However, for those who need speedy mouse movement, this should be your choice. I'm on the other side. I was really hoping for something soft and flexible. Looks like I'll be checking out the G240.
