There is button just behind the scroll wheel push that button down pretty hard you will feel a large click. That click you hear will switch the scroll wheel between free spinning and a more traditional scroll wheel that youre looking for.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has 2 modes. First is locked, you can scroll as long as you're using your fingers on it. Second, is free scrolling. Like the scrolling doesn't stop depending on the strength applied to the wheel. Kinda like wheel of fortune.
