• The G502 Lightspeed Wireless is indeed rechargeable only via the USB cord that is included in the box. No AA or any other batteries needed. You can also charge it wirelessly if you purchase the Lightspeed mouse pad.

• This mouse is rechargeable and has an internal battery. However, I'm considering returning mine because I'm having to recharge the battery every two days... But if you only use it in wireless mode during gaming you should be fine.
