I'm not quite sure what you are talking about.. but I believe the two 'plastic' pieces that go over the head are reinforced with metal. I've had two headsets and I only had to get the second one because I wore out the mic on the first one. The elastic band will stretch but you can get replacements or, as I did, just safety pin it smaller. Hope this helps
