I actually upgraded from the mouse you are using. I can tell you the mouse is an upgrade in every regard. You can remove and add buttons on either side, if you remove them you can add a long solid piece to cover the removed buttons. You will have to use app and set the mouse configuration to no side buttons if that's the desired set up. The mouse can be used wired and wireless like the 403 prodigy wireless mouse. The battery life is longer but I can't tell you how much longer since I haven't had to recharge mine yet. I use it for heavy gaming. Also love the mouse wheel toggle which makes the mouse wheel click like a standard mouse as you rotate it or smooth. Hands down the best mouse for the money.

Yes, you can change the side buttons for a left or right handed user. I not sure if it better than G403, I like it better than a G602.

The side buttons are modular on both sides of the mouse, so you can have buttons on the left side, or the right side, or both sides, or neither side. The battery life of the mouse with the lighting on is about 22 hours on one charge, regardless of what system you have. Turning the RGB off will extend the battery life.

The side buttons do come off and can be replaced with a rubber mold that fits perfectly. The other side of the mouse also has the option to have buttons on it. The battery life is amazing and it definitely is better than the g403.

I use it with an MSI Stealth, the laptop doesn't have an affect the battery life of the mouse, its the time played that drains it. I have used it for 8 hours straight and still had juice to play a few hours the next day.
