You can adjust the sensitivity by pressing the right/left buttons in the middle, bellow the scroll wheel. Did you also install the weight on the bottom of the mouse ?

For max connectivity plug the included dongle into a USB header within line of sight to the mouse. If you need more range, use the included adapter and cable to plug into a USB header, and place the dongle within line of sight, like on your desk.
