• I had to connect it to my computer and go to Myharmony.com and then put the name of the device and then the model number and sync it into the remote. It is quite easy to do.

• I had mine programmed by the Geek Squad. I consider the cost well worth it because I'm not a geek.

• The instructions provide the option to teach the remote commands using the old remote.

• The instructions contain information about "learning" equipment if set-up by entering the make/model number does not work. In my case it took multiple attempts for the remote to "learn" the device.
