“My Harmony device does not consistently turn on the cable receiver. About 60% of the time, it will turn on sound for the TV, but not picture. After pressing the center button 4 times it will turn on correctly. What is the problem? How do I fix it?”

This is an inherent problem with certain harmony remotes. First thing is to check the firmware updates. This usually will fix most issues. One of the most common issues is that if the last activity that was selected, for example: watching TV and then turned it off, then you start a new activity to play a game it comes up with the watch TV settings. The newer Logitech remote incorporated a fix feature like the troubleshooting option on some of the older remotes. This will allow you to correct any device that didn't switch on or switch to the right input.
