The answer posted by "Logitech" that the hub can be controlled only by a device on the same wifi network, is incorrect. I have now verified that after enabling the "Cloud" option in hub setup through the Harmony app, the hub can be controlled by the harmony app running on a smartphone that is not on the same wifi network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Absolutely! You would simply have to download the app and program your smartphone to their system. I do it all the time to mess with my wife and son.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.According to the Harmony Hub app, the answer is yes. There is a "cloud access" feature which should permit access from a remote location. I have not tried this myself, but if it works as described, you should be able to issue commands from locations outside the local network. There is a procedure to set this up. By default, it is turned off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello! Unfortunately, the Harmony Hub has to be connected to the same WiFi as all of the devices you would like to control. If you live in different places, unfortunately, this would not work.
