Yes. I have my receiver in closet down the hall. If you have a solid internet signal you shouldn't have an issues. I can be outside and still control the system. Hope this answers your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it depends on the cable box. I know with directv and comcast xfinity one that the answer would be yes since that are connected via the network and do not need IR to work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. In short, yes. Just place the hub downstairs and use your home network connected smart phone as. your remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.SOOOOOO, yes and no. The Harmony Hub utilizes IR (infrared) to signal your devices- it need line of sight. This means that the hub needs to be near the device it will control. That said, if you only want to use the Hub to control your cable then you can leave the Hub downstairs. Your TV will still need a remote control, but your phone can now control your cable channels via the Hub.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So long as a) the Harmony hub is able to connect to your home network and b) the Harmony hub is situated near the cable box, yes — it should work.
