Not sure what you are actually asking here. The hub has nothing to do with syncing up sound on two devices. It will however, control both devices as your remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This hub is only for remote control, turning on devices from android, apple and or Alexa. Used for turn o hue lights and stereo,tv,dvd, cable, etc.

However it can control a Bluetooth Receiver if that receiver is designed to work with an infrared remote. BTW, I got my hub due to the volume controls in the remote for my NAD C-372 integrated amplifier failing and even though NAD is a rather niche market product the Harmony can fully control this amp. Since Onkyo is a much larger company than NAD I would expect that the Harmony can control anything made by Onkyo that is Infrared remote capable. As for how to control the Hub, I have mine set up to be controlled by an App that I downloaded from the Iphone App Store. It works by using the Wifi network in your home, NOT Bluetooth. So, if you want to use a tablet or phone to control the Hub you will have to have a WiFi router set up in your home and will have to link the Hub to your network. Instructions for doing this are provided and actually work as described in the instructions. If you don't want to bother with WiFi or have to purchase a WiFi modem then I would suggest you purchased one of the two different remotes sold specifically to control the Hub. Now, once you have the Hub powered up and talking to Wifi, or it's dedicated remote, then you have to set up "apps" for each thing you want the Harmony to do. Bad news here is that there are a LOT of undocumented features in App setup that will require a call to Customer Support. Good news is the wait for Customer Support was not at all long for me at 7:00 in the evening and the Technician working with me really knew what she was doing. For example I wanted to be able to pre-load a disk in my blue ray player and when I chose the "Watch Movie" app have the hub turn on the player, turn on my Amp, set the inputs for the Amp to Digital pass thru from the TV, set the Input on the for the Blue Ray player, and then start the movie. In a bit under 5 minutes that technician had my "Watch Movie" app working exactly how I wanted it to. Suggestion here is to experiment a bit with your "apps" and once you have figured out how you want it to work then write the sequence down and make a call to Customer Support. BTW, on my Amp I have a Rocketfish Bluetooth receiver that is plugged into a "powered outlet" on the rear of the amp. So my "Listen to Music" App is simply powering up the Amp and setting the input to Tape 2 where I have the Rocketfish plugged in. That was simple enough that I had no problem getting that particular App set up. Finally a couple of notes on Function. While the Output Side on the Harmony Hub is incredibly flexible there is at present no Input Side. For example the Hub cannot sense if your TV is ON or OFF, it only knows what signal was sent to the TV. Because of this a Power Failure that shuts the TV OFF can Result in you Watch TV app working backwards with some older TV's, or any other older devices that use the SAME infrared signal for the On/Off function. Most newer remote controlled products today now use SEPARATE On and Off signals so with these products this wont be a problem. I can also tell you that selecting TV channels from the Favorites list on the Hub uses channel entry one digit at a time, so it's a bit slow to bring up a new channel and if you tap a favorite button multiple times you can get a long string of digits that the TV sees as nonsense or a "new" channel and the result is usually static. Get used to just puching the favorite once and wait for it to happen, 3 seconds to change a channel only seems like it's an eternity.
