The Harmony Hub does come with an ir blaster that has a 2 foot cable. So, in theory you could snake the cable into your closet space and point that at your components.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The claim is that the Hub works fine inside a closed media cabinet, because the signals all bounce off surfaces. There is also an IR blaster that can be aimed at components that don't respond. I couldn't aim my older Harmony Remote directly at the TV when I was using a sound bar; I had to hold the remote over my head to reach the TV. Now, the TV sits on a shelf over the shelf the Hub sits on, so presumably it bounces off the side wall to reach the TV. I expect your closet will be fine.
