it does blast ir signal but it wont reach far only at the location of the hub. it also depends on your house and how ir is allowed to bounce, windows mirros etc wont allow it to bounce. it comes with wire extender ir blaster but it's not long probably 8ft. your gonna need some sort of a ir extender or unless you can run a long 3.5mm wire extender then u can use the ir blaster that it comes with.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The remote does nothing. The hub is what emits the IR signal, but also includes an IR blaster with support for a second one. You can use a 2.5mm extension cable if you need more length to the other room. Not sure what the limit is.
