• This is the predecessor to the home, but the software can be upgraded to allow it to do everything the home can. The remote just doesn't have the buttons for lights and switches.

• I had the same question the hub updated software and works the same I believe all the hubs are the same remotes are different to add light button on remote not a big deal my hue connected and termastat

• If you're asking about this Smart Control vs. the Harmony Home, I'm pretty sure the hubs are the same, and the only difference is that the Home has physical buttons on the remote for home automation (lights, blinds, etc.).
